INSTRUCTIONAL GOALS

7th Grade Math covers a variety of skills throughout the year. During the first 9 week period, students will be covering computation with integers and rational numbers. Knowledge in these areas will help them during the second 9 weeks to explore problems involving fractions, decimals, and percents. Third 9 weeks, covers algebraic equations and geometry, as we prepare for upcoming Spring Testing. The fourth 9 weeks, will finish up with problems involving probability and data analysis.

At the end of this course, you will…

  • know how to make predictions with probability.
  • be able to compute one and two-step equations accurately.
  • understand proportional relationships.
  • solve real life problems using geometric formulas.
  • use number sense efficiently.
