Dr. Candice Webert is a lifelong resident of Shreveport, Louisiana.  She was educated in Caddo Parish Schools, having graduated from Captain Shreve High School.  After high school, she attended Louisiana Tech University, where she earned a B.S. degree in Secondary Education.  Her career as an educator began in 2005 as an social studies teacher at Broadmoor Middle Lab School, where she worked for 8 years.  During her tenure a school teacher, she was named Social Studies Teacher of the Year by the Louisiana Council for the Social Studies, won numerous grants and awards from Target Corporation, and was selected to participate in the Reduced Gravity Opportunity research program with NASA at Johnson Space Center.  She has presented professional development, written for numerous publications locally and nationally, and completed a study tour in Germany during the summer of 2016 with the Transatlantic Outreach Program. She earned her Master of Education in Administration from Louisiana State University at Shreveport in 2007, her Master’s Plus 30 from Louisiana Tech University in 2011, and her doctorate in educational leadership from Louisiana Tech University in 2017.  She joined the Youree Drive team in 2013 as an Administrative Assistant, then became the Assistant Principal of Instruction in 2014.  She always says “It is great to be a Spartan!”
