Saturday, February 8 was the Wells Middle School Quiz Bowl hosted by Caddo Magnet High School. Youree had 2 teams participate. Both teams did great and had a blast! Team B was in the top 16 and went into elimination rounds. We didn't win this time, but we are so proud of how these students represented YDMS!! What an incredible day we had on Thursday!Our 8th graders are one step closer to their dreams! Our 2nd annual High School/College/Career Day was a huge success, connecting students with local high schools, colleges, and professionals from diverse careers. They had the opportunity to speak with representatives from local high schools and colleges, laying the groundwork for their academic journey. The afternoon brought a diverse range of career exploration, with professionals from fields like law (Judges), real estate (Realtors), emergency services (911 Dispatchers, Police Officers, and Firemen), healthcare (Nurses and Radiology), entrepreneurship, SWEPCO, and even KSLA! A massive thank you to all the community members who shared their expertise and inspired our students. We're incredibly proud of our 8th graders who showed up and showed out!
